Mud motor is a kind of down-hole drill tool driven by mud. As mud fluid from the mud pump enters the motor via the by-pass valve, a certain pressure difference is formed at the inlet and outlet of the motor, pushing the rotor to rotate. Torque and rotate speed are transferred via the universal shaft and the transmission shaft to the bit the performance of the down-hole drill motor is mainly depending on the performance parameters of the screw motor.
